Austop Fisheries has founded from a long line of family fishing, beginning in Sicily Italy with new beginnings in Northern Territory Australia in 1960 when business owner Biagio's uncle and father migrated and started Barramundi Fishing.

Our quality service and products have developed due to the extensive experience within the fishing industry of business owners Biagio and Nina Spinella.  Biagio has fished commercially for 35+ years here in the top end also starting with Barramundi fishing in 1984.

​

Today here at Austop Fisheries we own and operate 3 x catcher vessels 2 of which are offshore net and line boats targeting the larger pelagics such as grey mackerel and black tip shark.  Our other vessel targets smaller pelagics such as IQF sardines, scad, squid and mouth mackerel.  We also have a wholesale / retail outlet located at fisherman's wharf.
